Terms of Use

1. Acceptance of these terms

By downloading, installing, testing, or using Bow's MiniNet, you agree to these Terms of Use and the MiniNet Disclaimer. If you do not agree, do not use the software.

2. Provided as-is

MiniNet is provided free of charge and on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without warranties or guarantees of any kind. No guarantee is made that MiniNet will always be available, error-free, secure, compatible with every system, or suitable for a particular purpose.

3. Your responsibility

You are responsible for deciding whether MiniNet is appropriate for your computer and network, reviewing settings before applying them, maintaining backups, protecting administrator credentials and private keys, and understanding changes made to Windows or your network configuration.

4. Administrator and network changes

Some MiniNet features can request Administrator privileges and may modify or manage Windows networking configuration, including hosts-file entries, hostname resolution, port forwarding, proxy behavior, certificates, access rules, and related settings. You should review changes before applying them and test MiniNet in an environment you are comfortable modifying.

5. Security features

Security tools such as HTTPS, rate limiting, allow/deny rules, automatic bans, security headers, and logging can help manage risk, but they do not make a computer, application, or network completely secure. MiniNet is not a replacement for appropriate operating-system updates, firewalls, authentication, backups, or professional security practices.

6. Local and third-party services

MiniNet may route traffic to software, devices, web applications, or services operated by you or third parties. Bow / Potter Service does not control those services and is not responsible for their availability, content, security, licensing, or behavior.

7. No misuse

You may not use MiniNet to intentionally violate applicable law, gain unauthorized access to systems or networks, interfere with systems you do not own or have permission to administer, or otherwise use the software for unlawful activity.

8. Alpha changes and discontinuation

Features, interfaces, configuration formats, compatibility, and roadmap items may change or be removed during development. Development may be paused or discontinued at any time. Roadmap items are development ideas and are not guaranteed features or release commitments.

9. Limitation of responsibility

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Bow / Potter Service is not responsible for losses or damages arising from use of MiniNet, including loss of data, configuration problems, service interruption, network outages, certificate problems, security incidents, blocked traffic, or incompatibility with other software.

10. Backups

MiniNet includes backup and restore tools, but you remain responsible for maintaining independent backups of important configuration and data before testing or changing networking settings.

11. Updates to these terms

These terms may be updated as MiniNet changes. The version published with or linked from the current MiniNet release applies to that release unless otherwise stated.
