MiniNet is already a working alpha prototype, but there are still desktop, networking, HTTPS, monitoring, and security improvements planned. This page shows what is being considered without pretending unfinished ideas are already live.
Make MiniNet feel like a real always-on network utility.

System Tray + Minimize on Close
Closing the main window should not kill the MiniNet proxy.
Keep routes and proxy services running in the background.

Explicitly stop network services and quit the application.
Start with Windows
Let MiniNet quietly come online after login.
Optional startup setting.
Launch directly into the system tray.
Restore basic desktop preferences between launches.
Keep configuration on the computer.
MiniNet is intended to remain local-first with no required account or cloud service.
Persistent Local Configuration
Routes, domains, Hosts, Services, security rules, bans, settings, and related configuration should survive closing/reopening MiniNet and restarting Windows.
No Required Account
Core network configuration stays on the user's computer instead of requiring a MiniNet account.
Backup / Restore
Continue improving portable backups so a MiniNet setup can be recovered or moved safely.
Go beyond one Windows computer.
LAN-Wide DNS
Let phones, TVs, laptops, and other devices resolve MiniNet names too.
Explore easier ways to publish MiniNet records across the LAN.
Check whether names resolve correctly from the intended network path.
Health Monitoring
Track whether backends are online and responding.
Notify when an important route/backend goes down.
See whether a service is getting slower over time.
